What is Dashboard?

A dashboard is a single screen that brings together the most important metrics, charts and alerts for a team or process, usually updated automatically from source systems. A good dashboard answers a specific set of questions at a glance, rather than displaying every available number.

Why it matters for your business

Dashboards replace manual spreadsheet reporting with a shared, current view of performance, so managers spot problems earlier and meetings start from the same numbers.

Example

A sales manager opens a Power BI dashboard each morning showing pipeline by stage, deals closing this month and reps behind target, with drill-through to individual opportunities.
