What is Data visualization?

Data visualization is the practice of presenting data as charts, maps, tables and other visual forms so that patterns, trends and outliers are easy to see. Choosing the right chart for the question, and keeping the design clear, matters as much as the underlying numbers.

Why it matters for your business

Well-designed visuals help non-technical decision makers understand data quickly and act on it, while poor charts can hide problems or suggest conclusions the data does not support.

Example

Instead of a table of monthly sales by region, an analyst shows a line chart for each region on a shared scale, making the one declining region obvious immediately.
