What is Webhook?

A webhook is a message one system sends to another automatically when something happens, such as a payment succeeding or a form being submitted. Instead of asking repeatedly for updates, the receiving system is told right away.

Why it matters for your business

Webhooks make integrations instant and efficient, so connected systems react to events within seconds.

Example

When a payment succeeds, the payment provider sends a webhook to the store, which marks the order as paid and emails the receipt.
