What is Power Platform connector?

A Power Platform connector is a wrapper around an API that lets Power Apps, Power Automate and Copilot Studio read from and act on another service through ready-made actions and triggers. Microsoft provides hundreds of standard and premium connectors, and teams can build custom connectors for their own or niche APIs.

Why it matters for your business

Connectors let low-code apps and flows reach business systems without custom integration code for every task, and custom connectors bring in-house APIs into the same governed environment.

Example

An operations team builds a custom connector for its warehouse system API so a Power Automate flow can create a shipment whenever an order is approved in Dynamics 365.
