What is Load testing?

Load testing is a type of performance testing that simulates many users or requests at once to see how an application behaves under expected and peak traffic. It measures response times, error rates and resource limits, while stress testing pushes past those limits to find where the system breaks.

Why it matters for your business

Load testing reveals bottlenecks before a launch, sale or campaign does, preventing outages at the moments that matter most and guiding where infrastructure spend should go.

Example

Ahead of a holiday sale, a retailer simulates several thousand concurrent shoppers and finds that the search service slows down, so the team adds caching before the event.
