What is Fine-tuning?

Fine-tuning is further training of an existing AI model on your own examples so it learns a specific style, format or task. It changes how the model behaves, not what facts it can look up.

Why it matters for your business

Fine-tuning helps when you need consistent output, such as a fixed report format or a brand voice. For answering questions from changing documents, retrieval (RAG) is usually cheaper and easier to keep current.

Example

A model is fine-tuned on approved support replies so new drafts follow the company's tone and structure every time.
