What is YAML?

YAML is a human-readable format for writing configuration files, using indentation instead of brackets. It is widely used to define CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure and application settings.

Why it matters for your business

Keeping configuration in YAML files under version control makes builds and environments reviewable and repeatable.

Example

A short YAML file tells the pipeline to install dependencies, run tests and deploy to staging on every change to the main branch.
