What is Go-live?

Go-live is the moment a new system or product is switched on for real users and real business, after testing and data migration are complete. It is usually followed by a period of close support.

Why it matters for your business

A planned go-live, with a checklist, a rollback option and support on hand, turns a risky switch into a routine event.

Example

The new ERP goes live on a Monday after a weekend data migration, with the delivery team on call all week to answer user questions.
