What is Dedicated development team?

A dedicated development team is an engagement model in which a vendor provides a group of engineers, designers or testers who work full-time on one client's product for an extended period. The team acts as an extension of the client's organization, while the vendor handles hiring, payroll and retention.

Why it matters for your business

It lets a business add skilled capacity faster than local hiring usually allows, keeps product knowledge within a stable team, and scales up or down as the roadmap changes.

Example

A US software company without in-house mobile skills adds a dedicated team of two developers, a designer and a QA engineer who join its daily stand-ups and work from its backlog.
