What is Computer vision?

Computer vision is the field of AI that enables software to interpret images and video, for example detecting objects, reading text, spotting defects or counting items. It turns visual input into structured information that other systems and people can act on.

Why it matters for your business

Computer vision automates visual checks that would otherwise need a person watching, such as quality inspection, shelf monitoring or document capture, making those checks faster and more consistent.

Example

A manufacturer mounts a camera over its packing line, and a vision model flags boxes with damaged labels so they are pulled before shipping.
