Automation · Definition

What is Business process automation?

Business process automation uses software to run repeatable business processes, such as approvals, onboarding or invoicing, with little or no manual work. It connects the systems and people involved and moves each case along automatically.

Why it matters for your business

Automating routine processes cuts turnaround times and errors, and frees staff for work that needs judgment.

Example

New employee onboarding creates accounts, orders equipment, books training and notifies the manager as soon as HR marks a hire as confirmed.
