What is CRM (customer relationship management)?

A CRM is software that keeps every interaction with customers and prospects in one place, from first contact through sales, service and renewals. It tracks contacts, deals, cases and activity history.

Why it matters for your business

A CRM stops leads and follow-ups from slipping through the cracks and gives sales and service teams the same view of each customer.

Example

Every inbound enquiry becomes a lead in the CRM, gets assigned to a rep automatically and shows its full email history when the customer calls.
